**Configuration Update: Based on the first few batches out in the wild, it's almost all of customers preferences (99.9%) to use 40lb struts even with loaded doors. With that in mind we will only be selling this version for now.  If you feel you really need 60lb struts please reach out directly.

Are you struttin’ yet? Moonraker Design Sprinter Van Rear Door Struts were designed to take the load off your arms when you open heavy and loaded doors, so you can use them for more important things like, well, struttin’ of course!

Upgrade your Mercedes Sprinter Van (2019+ VS30 models) with Moonraker Design Co's precision CNC machined Rear Door Strut Brackets & Kit. Our brackets are meticulously crafted from solid 6061 Aluminum billet in our CNC machine shop, providing a clean and subtle look. Our kits come only in Low Force Struts (40lbs) now.  If you really feel like you need High Force Struts (60lbs) for really heavy doors please reach out directly.

Now one thing to keep in mind about the 40lb struts is they may require some assistance for very very very heavy doors or if you are parked nose down on an incline on opening, but they will keep the door open at 90º once they are there so that you don't have to worry about wind or said inclines slamming the doors on you while you are inside the back of your van.

These require accurate drilling & modification of the van with that said professional installation is recommended.  If you'd like to DIY please read installation instructions & tips here we've got a lot of good advice and tool recommendations for making it an easy install.

Installation Information

  • Compatibility: These are designed to work with VS30 (2019+) Sprinter Van with 180º Hinges ONLY. These will not work with 270º Hinges.
  • Confirmed these work with The Bug Wall.
  • We have NOT tested with any other rear bug screens and can't guarantee they will work without some modification of those bug screens.
  • These do NOT work with GoCode or TerraWagen D-Pillar trims without modification.
  • Customization: Explore branding or laser-etched logos for a unique touch (additional $30.00 for van conversion companies or those looking to differentiate their kit or we can offer it free at wholesale prices if you buy in bulk 5+ sets at a time).
  • Drill & Rivnut Tool Required: Installation requires 8 total M6 rivnuts (which are included) to be installed into the interior frame of the van. This requires drilling to size and an appropriate setting tool. Professional installation is recommended.
  • Note: Due to the struts having additional force applied closing the door will require amore effort than the factory configuration.
