What's Included?

  • 1x Machined aluminum bracket
  • 1x PETG-CF light clamp bracket
  • All required mounting hardware
  • 1x LED courtesy LED light
  • 1x Drill Template
  • 1x Tube of Blue Loctite

Tools & Supplies Required

  • 4mm Hex Key
  • 2.5mm Hex Key
  • A deburring Tool
  • Wire to extend the LED to wherever you want to connect it to
  • Proper fusing for the light wires
  • A drill with a #3 ~0.213" drill & a 21/23" drill bit a stepped drill to make a 0.625" hole will also work here but you might need to file or open up the hole a bit. It's IMPORTANT that the hole is not bigger than about ~16.4mm or 0.65"
  • Tools to remove the B-pillar (more detail coming soon...)

Step #1 Remove the B-Pillar

Unfortunately to access the piece that the step light is attached to you need to remove the B-Pillar because there's a lip that extends under it. You can watch our section of our Headliner Removal Video here to learn how to do this. Note: You only need to do it for the Passengers Sides.

Step #2 Remove the Step Trim Piece

Step #3 Use the Drill Template to Mark the Holes

Using the included chipboard drill template mark the 4 holes. The template should be placed so the 3 holes are along the top & the lower hole on the outboard side of the piece.

We like to mark these with a marker first & then center punch them pretty deep so the drill tip rests nicely. Because the plastic is very textured it can be difficult to see where the center punch is which is why I like to make it as deep as possible.

Step #4 Drill the 3 Top Screw Clearance Holes

Using a #3 (~0.213") drill bit, drill the 3 top screw clearance holes. Double check and make sure your center punch marks are deep enough to get accurate locations here.

If you are not confident, then it may be a good idea to pilot with a small drill bit first.

Step #5 Drill the LED Light Clearance Hole

Step #6 Loosely Attach the Included Clamp Piece to Hold on the Step Light Bracket

Using the 3 included M5 Screws & a 4mm hex key loosely attach the Step Light Bracket to the factory piece using the included Clamp piece. The clamp piece has been printed using Carbon Fiber infused PETG for maximum durability & longevity.

You should loosely install the screws at this point so that you can press in the LED light in the next step.
