Transform your van into a cozy, quiet retreat with our exclusive Ultimate Van Insulation Bundle, combining the unparalleled thermal efficiency of 3M Thinsulate SM600L with the noise-suppression comfort of Tec Vanlife DUCK Liner. Designed specifically for camper van conversions, this bundle offers everything you need to insulate your vehicle for optimal comfort and performance.

3M Thinsulate SM600L Insulation:
3M Thinsulate SM600L is a premium thermal insulation engineered for the unique demands of vehicles. At 60 inches wide and sold by the linear foot, this material is designed to expand to 1 3/4 inches or 44mm, providing more acoustic absorption per unit weight compared to competitive products. Its hydrophobic fibers resist moisture, mold, and mildew, ensuring a safe and healthy insulating layer.  Thinsulate is also FMVSS 302 certified, meeting rigorous federal motor vehicle safety standards.

Tec Vanlife DUCK Liner:
Complement your insulation with our famous DUCK Liner, the ultimate barrier both against both noise and condensation. The DUCK Liner works seamlessly with the Thinsulate insulation, enhancing its thermal properties and adding an extra layer of moisture resistance, ensuring your van remains dry and mold-free.

Bundle Benefits:

Easy Installation: Both products are designed for DIY installation, with Thinsulate utilizing 3M 90 Adhesive Spray for a secure fit.  The DUCK Liner is a peel-and-stick solution which adears directly to the van walls, ceiling and floor.
Customizable Coverage: Tailor your insulation to your specific needs with our detailed Thinsulate Calculator & Installation Guide below, ensuring you get the exact amount of material required for your van model and size.

Bundle Includes:

3M Thinsulate SM600L Insulation (Choose your required linear feet)
Tec Vanlife DUCK Liner (Corresponding quantity to match Thinsulate purchase)
*All size estimates assume sliding door and back door windows. If you don’t have any windows, add 10 more linear feet to your order

Duck liner is sold by the roll. For vans with shorter wheelbases, you may have some material left over. You can utilize these leftovers for additional insulation on the floor or cab doors. Alternatively, you could double up the material in areas with deep cavities for enhanced insulation.

Key Features

At Moonraker Design Co., we believe that a well-insulated van is the foundation of a comfortable, quiet, and efficient build — which is why we recommend using a combination of TEC Vanlife DuckLiner and 3M Thinsulate for the ultimate van insulation system. DuckLiner, with its durable, hydrophobic closed-cell foam, acts as a thermal break and vapor barrier, perfect for irregular van walls and metal surfaces. 3M Thinsulate SM600L brings superior thermal and acoustic performance, trapping heat in the winter and keeping things cooler in the summer, all while deadening road noise. Together, they create a high-performance, moisture-resistant, and sound-dampening insulation solution trusted by pro builders and DIYers alike. Whether you’re full-timing or weekend adventuring, this combo ensures your van is ready for any climate, season, or destination.

Installation Information

  • Clean and prep surfaces – Wipe down metal panels with isopropyl alcohol if they are dirty for best adhesion.
  • Cut DuckLiner to fit – Using sharp shears to size it for van ribs, panels, and ceiling bays.
  • Peel backer from the duck liner completely, then reinstall. Slide it into position and peel the backer off while pressing it firmly onto the van skin.
  • Press firmly to ensure full surface contact; DuckLiner acts as your thermal break.
Cut Thinsulate to fit cavities – Gently overstuff the material for a snug friction-fit inside wall and ceiling cavities.
  • Apply with contact adhesive or 3M 90 spray – It stays in place on its own pretty well but some adhesive helps especially on overhangs.
  • Install from bottom to top – Start with lower walls, then upper walls, then ceiling to keep everything tucked neatly.
  • Secure wiring between layers – Run any electrical before installing final insulation or wall panels.
